This masterpiece
portrait of Anne of Cleves (one of the several wives of king Henry
VIII of England, 1515-1557) was painted around 1539 by Hans Holbein
the younger (1497-1543). The upper
image shows the digital recreation of the cross stitch project once
finished. The lower image shows a
close view of the project.
